Rob, Jacky and Braden are Port Douglas Wedding Photography. Coordinated by Shobha in the office, she is the one answering emails and your questions in the lead up to your wedding.
Jacky studied photography in South Africa, before emigrating to Australia in 1982, and a few years later sailed into Port Douglas with her husband Rob. For fifteen years she worked as an underwater photographer on the Great Barrier Reef, and completed a degree in media and sociology. In 2007 Jacky hung up her fins and focused full-time on weddings. Just like a dive, every couple is different and surprising, which has been key to keeping her passion for photography alive. A love of being in the bush as a runner and mountain biker defines her style, which aspires to capture your occasion with structure, that is natural, relaxed and reflective of who you are.
With a background in tourism management, Rob also began his photography career underwater. He soon diversified into both filming and photographing corporate events, commercial gigs and weddings. Building a strong local reputation for his photography and videography services, he continues to be a passionate and committed advocate for the wedding industry and Port Douglas as a whole. His enduring enthusiasm for photography is fuelled by the knowledge that each function is unique - whether a large affair, or an intimate elopement, giving both equal consideration. When not working, Rob is happily challenged on the golf course or spending hours riding his bike.
Braden started his photography journey when he picked up a camera to document his life while living in China. After moving to Far North Queensland in 2010, he decided to take the plunge and make a career out of photography as he loved it so much, working with some of the best wedding photographers in the area to build up his skills. After hundreds of weddings and more than a decade under his belt, he still loves the work and finds great satisfaction in the creative process, always looking for a new angle to make something unique. In his spare time he loves growing food in his garden and spending time with his wife and two girls.
